Ariana Grande Sang the Anthem at a Florida Panthers Game at Eight

On January 16, 2002, the Florida Panthers played the Chicago Blackhawks, and the national anthem was sung by an eight-year-old from Boca Raton named Ariana Grande.

Grande was born in Boca Raton on June 26, 1993. She played the title role in Annie with the Fort Lauderdale Children’s Theater and was in its Wizard of Oz and Beauty and the Beast. She went to North Broward Preparatory School and Pine Crest School.

In 2008, at fifteen, she made her Broadway debut as Charlotte in the musical 13. Television followed, then the recording career.
