Trails and Water

More than a dozen miles of trails wind through pine flatwoods and along South Creek, perfect for hiking and biking. Paddlers can launch a canoe on the tannin-dark creek and drift toward the coast, while a freshwater lake offers swimming and a sandy spot to cool off on a hot afternoon.

Shaded campsites make the park a peaceful base for exploring the Gulf coast nearby. At dusk, the pine woods come alive with the calls of owls and whip-poor-wills, and the stars shine bright over the scrub.
